February Break Activities:

Monday, February 16 at 4:00pm Celebrate Lunar New Year and learn Asian paper cutting with artist Mary Beth Dolan.

Tuesday, February 17 at 1:00pm meet us at the Almond 20th Century Club library for a presentation with Hawk Creek Wildlife called “Fur, Feathers, and Scales” in which participants will meet a mammal, a bird, and a reptile and learn about what makes them unique.

Wednesday, February 18 at 1:00pm we will have a learning program called Flight Path Academy. Participants will learn about local birds and hear from guest speaker Debra Jakobi, president of the Allegany County Bird Club about local birds.

Thursday, February 19 at 1:00pm is our second installment of Flight Path Academy. Participants will learn about local bird migration and hear from guest speaker Dr. Fred Beaudry.

Friday, February 20 at 5:30pm join is at the Almond 20th Century Club library for a puzzle race. Teams of four can sign up to race to complete a 500 piece puzzle. Pizza and refreshments will be provided. Prizes awarded for the first 3 teams. Register your team at either the Alfred or the Almond library!

SAT Prep Workshops

Free SAT Prep Workshops are now available through Brainfuse and the Southern Tier Library System. Author and SAT expert Brian Steward will lead a series of sessions designed to help students understand the test, build confidence, and learn practical strategies. Workshops will run January 7-March 11 via Zoom from 6-7pm EST. To register, scan the QR codes below.
